About BFK

BFK is a joint venture comprising three of the world's leading tunnelling, civil engineering and construction companies: BAM, Ferrovial and Kier.

BFK is constructing two railway tunnels that will run for 6.4km between the Royal Oak portal and the new Farringdon Crossrail station. We are also building the station tunnel caverns at Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road and Farringdon.

BAM Nuttall, Ferrovial Agroman and Kier Construction are recognised industry leaders in infrastructure projects with established capability in the delivery of complex railway and tunnel projects. Between us, we have delivered over 800km of high profile tunnelling projects.

Strong together

Our ability to successfully deliver part of Europe's largest infrastructure project is founded on decades of experience completing large scale complex infrastructure contracts all over the world. We have worked in all kinds of geological conditions, from solid rock to clay, gravel and sands.

We have navigated between existing subterranean structures (sometimes with less than a metre clearance) and beneath oceans, rivers, sensitive structures, utilities, historic buildings, live railways, busy roads and operating airport runways.

Sprayed concrete lining (SCL) technology is another area in which we excel. This technique will be much in evidence as we construct the tunnel caverns at Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road and Farringdon Crossrail stations.
